MagiQuest in Myrtle Beach comprises a multi-story adventure palace where children five years and older can play the MagiQuest interactive, role-playing game of the same name. The Myrtle Beach location offers indoor and outdoor space for the players, called “Magi”, to embark on their enchanted kingdom journeys and quests.

Each Magi makes use of an infrared-emitting wand to activate an object’s action “magically”; the wands are available for purchase at the facility’s retail store and can be used at any MagiQuest locations (there are several across North America and the brand has just entered the U.K.). There is a distinct element of “Harry Potter” to this game, and it requires some dexterity; younger children will likely enjoy the experience more if a parent joins in the fun.

The MagiQuest interactive game comes with instructions and guides to help new players learn the nuances of the game; it can also be played on-line. The game takes place in an imaginary kingdom populated with wizards, dragons, goblins and pixies. MagiQuest is more than just a duel of wands; it has a story and adventure element, making it more enjoyable to all. Wands can be held by an individual or several people; one Magi can hold many wands at any given time, although it gives no advantage except to gain more points by being able to complete tasks quickly.
