For visitors to Myrtle Beach who come with children or just love being a kid at any age, The Children’s Museum of South Carolina offers an educational and play facility for children to engage in a day of self-discovery. Pint-sized visitors will learn about nature and social interactions, designed for the young in a fun and engaging manner. Because it encourages self-discovery and awareness for children, the museum places emphasis on exploring, touching and playing.

There are 11 main exhibits at The Children’s Museum of South Carolina. Youngsters will be able to discover important facts about South Carolina, investigate the world of magnets and electricity, and role-play at the Kidz Medical Center & Dr Molar's Dental Clinic; here they are invited to learn more about their bodies and to not fear medical equipment they may encounter in real life, such as X-Ray machines.

There is also a Magical School Bus where children can play computer games, an Express Yourself Art Center where they can create a masterpiece to take home, and a discovery lab to learn more about the natural world around us. Other hands-on features include learning how to make a pizza, the basics of boating, cool methods of fossil hunting, and language skills that help little folks know more about the words they speak.

The Children’s Museum of South Carolina is a fantastic way to occupy young people under the age of 6; it provides them with the experiences of what its like to be in a boat, and to touch and get to know rabbits and squirrels, among many more educational components.

The Children’s Museum of South Carolina is an integral part of a happy holiday time spent with the younger members of the family. It’s a delightful venue devoted to the very young.
