Malcolm’s Beach, also known as Malcolm’s Road Beach, is accessible by foot via a rocky pathway, if you can handle a long walk, or by a four-wheel drive vehicle. It’s far off the beaten path, solitary and perfect. The water is pristine, the beach snow-white and the diving outstanding.

Save for a ring of weathered tiki huts, there are no buildings to be found in the immediate beach area, but reasonably priced accommodations can be had in the vicinity. The beach is near Northwest Town and its offerings.

Locals and tourists gather here, albeit in small numbers, to swim, snorkel (colorful tropical fish abound) and sunbathe, or just be. Malcolm’s Beach is a place for introspection and the appreciation of nature at its finest. Bring a picnic lunch and spend the day in or out of the sun; there is ample shade along the periphery of the beach.

Shipwrecks are common in the vicinity, and o=afford interesting dives. Deep-sea fishing, leaving from the island’s capital or the local fishing ports, is a popular pastime with blue marlin, tuna and wahoo for the catching.

Malcolm’s Beach is the quieter of the Provo beaches, with up to 350 days of sunshine a year, making for an idyllic getaway. Provo and Malcolm’s Beach are safe with low crime. The solitude and beauty of this beach will capture your imagination and relax your soul.
